GOD Michael Helped Aeneas Escape The Sack Of Troy and Reach Italy – 1📌

During a recent meditation, I asked and Aeneas commented that GOD Michael helped him escape when Troy was falling and he escaped with some family members, friends and others in a few ships.

Satan tried to sink his ships with storms and made it extremely difficult for him to navigate on the sea. GOD Michael helped save him and others from Satan’s destruction. It took them a long time to reach Italy.

After they finally landed in Sicily, Italy, they stayed for some time. Later, some of them stayed to live in Sicily, the rest with Aeneas continued to the north. The famous encounter between him and Dido, the Carthage queen, is not true.

Aeneas later landed in the Latium region, Italy and he indeed married the daughter of the king of Latins. Aeneas also founded the city of Lavinium. He also commented that he didn’t die early in battle as depicted by some stories but died naturally in old age.

A Side Note: From my research, those who stayed in Sicily built some early cities such as Segesta and Eryx, which seemingly were named after Aeneas’ brothers.  Centuries later, the area was occupied by Carthaginians. That’s why when the Roman Republic became stronger, it first defeated the Carthaginians/Phoenicians and took back Sicily.

Below is some information from wiki:

“The origin and foundation of Segesta are extremely obscure. The tradition current among the Greeks and adopted by Thucydides, ascribed its foundation to a band of Trojan settlers, fugitives from the destruction of their city; and this tradition was readily welcomed by the Romans, who in consequence claimed a kindred origin with the Segestans.”

Below is a picture of a doric temple in Segesta:

Below are archaic period alters along the road from Lavinium to the coast. A sanctuary of Sol Indiges(GOD Michael) is located at the end of the road facing the sea. In that same period, in the east hilly slopes is built the sanctuary dedicated the goddess Minerva(Roman name for the goddess of Nike).

Below are devotee statues in the temple of Minerva in the Lavinium Museum:  (The style of the status is the same as the archaic period of Greek/Mycenaeans style)

Below is a 1675 painting from C.G Lorrain: The arrival of Aeneas to the shores of Lavinium
