During a recent mediation, I asked about Olympic games. GOD Michael commented that similar to Zeus, Hera doesn’t exist. The Temple of Hera, in front of which we lit the Olympic flame for the Olympic Game at the Olympian Sanctuary, was originally named temple of Dionysus, which is a temple dedicated to Helios /Apollo/Dionysus (God of light and freedom). Also Hermes refer to him too. These names refer to one but were split into different names with different roles due to Satan’s deception.
Below is a summary of what I learned from GOD Michael’s comments on more detail:
There were much older temples in the same location before all ancient Greek cities were sacked at the same period of time of the Trojan War around 1200 BC. The previous Greek civilization was lost and Greece fell into what historians called “The Greek Dark Ages”. It took about 500 years to repopulate the area and rebuild from the ruins again.
Similar traditions like the Olympics existed before the sack in which the older temples were all burnt down in Olympia, and some few survivers still remembered the Olympics tradition after the sack. Around 900 BC, people in the area rebuilt the temple of Dionysus/Apollo (God of light and freedom) at the Olympian Sanctuary and restarted the Olympic games again later.
The Olympic Games still kept many traditions as a dedication to Dionysus(God of light and freedom), such as lighting up a torch on the altar of the temple of Dionysus, passing on the torch, and laurel wreaths awarded to victors in ancient times.
