I asked GOD Michael, Guanyin, Huangdi and Laozi about how I could address different Gods who I knew (some others I may not know ) in Taoism for common people like me. Below is a note of what I confirmed with GOD Michael and Huangdi:
- 迈克尔主天神/元始天尊/ (GOD Michael, 迈克尔主天神 means the Highest God of the universe Michael; “主天神” means “the Highest God of the universe”; “天帝“ or “玉皇大帝“ is ok if you are old fashion. ).
- 观音（天神） ( Guanyin Goddess was a widely revered Goddess in Taoism already; she serves all religious matters including Taoism. )
- 轩辕天神/皇帝天神 (Xuanyuan Tian Shen/Huangdi Tian Shen, Huangdi, The Yelllow Emperor; “Tian Shen” 天神 means God of the Universe and is higher in seniority than “Shen Xian” 神仙）
- 关羽/关公 (天神) （GuanYu Tian Shen, Guan gong )
- 老子 (神仙)/太上老君 (Laozi Shen Xian, Laozi, Taishang Laojun)
- 庄子(神仙) (Zhuangzi Shen Xian, Zhuangzi)
- 张道陵 (神仙) (Zhang Daoling Shen Xian, Zhang Daoling)
- 张三丰 （仙人）（Zhang SanFeng Xian Ren, a master of martial arts; “Xian Ren” seniority is between “Zhen Ren” and “Shen Xian”；)
